Lindsay Lohan was ordered on Thursday to spend a day in jail and serve 10 days community service.

The 21 year old actress has been placed on 36 months probation and has to complete 18 month alcohol education program. She will pay thousands of dollars as fine and visit a three day county coroner program in which she will visit a morgue and talk to victims of drunken drivers.

Lindsay Lohan During an hour long hearing before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge H Chester Horn Jr. She admitted that she is addicted to drugs and this has made her life unmanageable. She was guilty of breaking law and took responsibility.

Lohan was charged of hitting a car in Beverly Hills in May and in July for drunken driving. In both cases she possessed cocaine but the amount was below permissible limits so she faced misconduct charges instead of criminal act charges.

She was given no special consideration for being a celebrity. She has to serve a day in jail before January 18. Lohan has been in the wonderland center rehab during early 2007.
