In 1997 director of Parent Trap approached her with the role which she couldn’t resist. She was recognized for her talent in the Parent Trap and won young artist award for leading actress. Life Size in 1999 gave her chance to act with Tyra Banks. Her roles in Freaky Friday and Ultimate did wonders to her career and she started getting numerous roles.
In 2002 she fulfilled her life long dream of recording and has till now launched five albums.
Disney’s Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Mean Girls, and Herbie are some of her biggest hits. Her first single Rumors made a gold record. She released her debut album Speak in December 2004 and peaked to number four within days. Her other album a Little More Personal in 2005 didn’t worked as well as speak.
